Frank Jongkind - Principal Solicitor
Frank was raised in Brisbane and educated at Richlands State School and Inala State High School. He was a finalist in the Queensland Secondary Schools Debating Union in 1971.
He graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1978 and a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Government in 1980. He obtained the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Queensland Institute of Technology.
He was admitted as a soliclitor in Queensland in 1980 and in New South Wales in 2000.
In 1980 Frank began his legal career in Harold Crawford & Co, a small but highly respected general pracitice in Queen Street, Brisbane. In 1982 he was made a partner of that firm. The practice was purchased by Thompson King & Partners in 1989.
In 1991, Peter Skewes, Solicitor of Blackall, invited Frank to manage the Charleville practice formerly owned by Phillip E Crook & Co. The practice was renamed P W Skewes & Dempster (Charleville). Frank bought out Peter Skewes in 1998.
Frank is committed to fairness and justice. He has been providing legal aid services since 1980. He was a counsellor on the Murweh Shire Council from 2004 to 2008.
He is experienced in business transfers, rural conveyancing, family law, and wills and estates and has a deep interest in mining law and criminal law.
Frank Jongkind speaks fluent Dutch.
He was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship by Rotary International.
